Golfing in Manhatten

Want to have a practice run in Manhatten? It seems that Chelsea Piers are economical and the cool thing is that on the driving range the golf balls come to you from under the ground, height adjusted previously. So no stupid placeing of golf balls everytime you hit one. More here, with picture..

You Have a Decision to Make

That's the title of a new commercial by Nike that The Sand Trap posted. Very good one and a wonderful ending. Read more here: The Sand Trap .com - A Golf Blog: "You Have a Decision to Make".

Welcome to GLOGGA

Welcome to GLOGGA everyone! This has been brewing in our (Ingmar and Oliver) minds for some time now and we finally got around to launching it.

What is this?

We have started playing golf this year, after trying for some time, and we love it. We have also been blogging for years, February 2001 in terms of myself, and we thought the two would mix wonderfully. Blogging is a great way to meet new people and golf helps deepen the relationship and build new ones. The connection was obvious. GLOGGA was born on the Gut Clarenhof course in Cologne, Germany on a nice day (for German standards :)) in August.

The goal is to help bloggers talk about Golf and getting others to join in on the sport. It's a wonderful way to relax, think, talk and enjoy a good day outside. Yes, that's away from the computer. But you can still moblog via Flickr. Just tag your photos with "glogga" and we will notice. To start with we will post the interesting news about Golf we find right here, and if you want to write yourself, read on.

The Wiki

We needed more than a blog though. This is where the Glogga Wiki comes in. While the Blog(s) are there to talk the Wiki is there to store. We are looking into tapping the enormous knowledge out there about courses world wide to build a Wiki that will allow anyone to find information about any course world wide. We will also try to add equipment review, list bloggers that play golf. We are counting on you out there to fill the Wiki.

The Blogs

This is about more than one blog. This main one will be the starting point but we are looking into adding more local versions and if you want to start one, just mail us and tell us which country or state you want to start and we will set it up. All you need is a TypePad or TypeKey account. If you want to write right here, contact us.

This will also allow you to moblog to your local blog once your account is set up and you add an eMail to use with the blog via Flickr.

Looking forward to have a conversation with you. If you want to subscribe to the feed, it right here.

golf in war

Download img6850250.jpg

I´m quite uncertain if I should like those pictures, what do you think? Should they play golf in the iraq? On the other hand, golf helps to relax, to smooth the daily horror...Img6850250
